Socceroos due to arrive in Dhaka Nov 14

SPORTS REPORTER

Football Federation of Australia (FFA) has sent their arrival schedule to Bangladesh to play the FIFA World Cup qualifying away match. They are expected to land here on November 14 at 10:40pm. The match is scheduled to be held on November 17 at Bangabandhu National Stadium There was a great confusion about the Australian team to come here since the Australia cricket team cancelled their tour of Bangladesh mentioning security concern and the Football Federation of Australia (FFA) also has been trying to convince FIFA and AFC to shift the venue from Dhaka to Dubai or any other country. Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) wanted to know about their arrival schedule on October 24 (Saturday) and received the reply yesterday.
The FFA released a statement on Monday where it hinted that the FIFA is sticking to its decision's to holding the match in Dhaka. "FFA is communicating with FIFA, AFC (Asian Football Confederation) and DFAT [Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade] on the security situation in Bangladesh. FIFA's current position is that the World Cup qualifier on 17 November will be played as scheduled. FFA is seeking more information from all parties, in particular Bangladesh authorities, on security arrangements and will continue to monitor the situation," the statement was quoted by Sydney Morning Herald on Monday.
Abu Nayeem Shohag, general secretary of the BFF, informed all yesterday that replying to their (BFF) letter FFA informed that their tentative arrival date in Dhaka on November 14 at 10:40pm.
“We wrote to FFA to know when they come in Dhaka, as we will have to confirm their accommodation and other formalities to host them. Jewel Freeman, manager of the FFA team, sent the reply that their tentative time to arrive on October 14 and will reside at the Hotel Westin,” Shohag said.
