1000 litres of liquor seized in Muktagachha

Police seized a large quantity of locally brewed liquor at Kalibari Wrishipara area in Muktagachha upazila of the district yesterday afternoon. Police said being informed a team of police led by Abu Mohammad Fazlul Karim, officer-in-charge of Muktagachha police station, conducted raid in the area and seized 1000 litres of liquor kept in 70 containers. Sensing presence of the law enforcers the wine traders fled the scene. The seized wine has been deposited at the police station, police said. A drive is on to arrest the wine traders, said the OC.
