PwC launches subsidiary in Bangladesh

PwC India has launched subsidiary in Bangladesh to globally increase the footprint of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the leading professional services firm in the world.
This initiative will give PwC an opportunity to partner Bangladesh in its growth journey by offering services in areas of advisory and taxation, the firm said in a statement on Monday.
PwC Bangladesh is currently operating from its office at Karwan Bazar in Dhaka, serving 300 clients.
Mamun Rashid, a former banker having long experience in working with several leading financial entities in Bangladesh and abroad including ANZ Grindlays, Citibank N A and Standard Chartered Bank, will be partner in-charge of PwC Bangladesh.
PwC has been operating in Bangladesh for many years and setting up of this subsidiary in Dhaka is in line with the rising importance of Bangladesh in a global business scenario, the statement said.
