Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in the capital yesterday, reports BSS. "During the meeting, the President thanked the cabinet secretary for discharging his duties properly," President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS. As a government official, President Hamid said he (Musharraf) carries out his duties sincerely and with integrity which can be an example to other government officials.
Abdul Hamid wished success in the new assignment of Musharraf Hossain and hoped he would put in his best efforts for welfare of the people as well as the country while discharging his new assignment.
Musharraf expressed his gratitude to the President for extending cooperation during discharging his duties as cabinet secretary and said the President's advice played an effective role in carrying out his duties.
On October 25, Musharraf has been made the World Bank Alternate Executive Director and land secretary Shafiul Alam has been made the cabinet secretary.
