The UK unit of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has postponed its London rally scheduled today. It was to be addressed by party chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is now staying there for treatment since September 16. The rally is now likely to be held on November 2 in a larger hall with a capacity to accommodate 3,000-4,000 people, according to sources in London. “We’ve cancelled our programme on Tuesday since the venue was small. We’re now looking for a better and larger hall with a sitting capacity of 3,000-4,000 people, as party supporters from neighbouring countries are also expected to participate in the event,” said MA Malique, UK BNP president.
