A supercentenarian man was burnt to death after unidentified people torched the house of Robin, an accused in Juba League activist Swapan murder case, yesterday morning. The deceased has identified as Siddiqullah, 112. Local people said at around 10am they rescued Siddiq, grandfather of Robin, from the house and admitted him to Chatkhil upazila health complex. As his condition deteriorated he was shifted to Noakhali General Hospital. But he died on the way. Juba League man Tarek Hossain Swapan, 25, was hacked to death allegedly by Robin and his associates at Chayani-Tagba in Chatkhil municipality on Sunday morning. A case was filed with Chatkhil police station the same day accusing Robin and his five associates. Police on Sunday night arrested Robin’s father Lokman Hossain and his brother Jahid, 18. Officer-in-Charge of Chatkhil police station Nazimuddin said Robin went into hiding soon after the accident.
