RAJSHAHI: Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) here yesterday finally demolished 23 shops from their illegal occupation on footpath of New Market area under Boalia Police Station in the city, RCC sources said, reports BSS. A mobile court of the RCC led by its Executive Magistrate Mourtoza Al Muhit bulldozed the shops most of which are mobile phone shops built illegally on footpath about five to six years back. Magistrate Mourtoza Al Muhit told the journalists that the illegal occupants were served notices asking them to remove their shops and goods repeatedly. But they were reluctant which compelled the RCC authority to conduct the eviction drive.
