A court here sentenced two human traffickers to life term in child trafficking case under Shiddhirganj police station. District women and child repression prevention tribunal judge KM Rasheduzzaman Raza handed down the judgement yesterday. The court also fined Taka 20,000 each, in default, suffer 1 month imprisonment more, court sources confirmed. The convicted are Aklima,42, wife of Mujibor Rahman, and Mazharul,45, son of Ishak Ali, both resident of Mizmizi villlage of Shiddhirganj police station in the city. Four others of the case acquitted as the fault was not proved against their involvement with child trafficking. According to the prosecution story, Shurjo Banu, resident of Hirajheel area of Shiddhirganj police station on April 12, 2005 filed a case with police accusing six persons stated that her son Ripon was taken by the accused bluffing her to use as domestic help but later sent him in Dubai.
