A Dhaka court yesterday placed two traffic helpers of Biman Bangladesh Airlines in a case lodged over seizure of around four kilograms of gold bars at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on July 13. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam placed Emdad Hossain and Abdur Rahim on five day remand each as police produced the duo before court. Airport Armed Police Battalion members detained the duo at around 1.45 pm on Saturday as traffic helper Emdad with the help of Rahim collected the gold bars from cargo goods brought here Thai Airline flight TG 321. They were trying to smuggle the gold bars out of the airport.
