Man beaten to death

Gazipur : A man was beaten to death and two women injured in an attack by miscreants in Bangram area of Gazipur city on Sunday night, reports UNB. The deceased was Joira Barman, a resident of the area. Locals said a gang of 5 to 6 riding a micro-bus in the guise of DB police entered Bangram area and attacked Joira Barman and his wife at night. At one stage, the attackers beat up the couple mercilessly, leaving Joira dead on the spot. They also beat another woman named Sadhona as she tried to resist them to save the couple. The criminals also took Tk 20,000 from Joira’s relatives and fled the scene. Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to a hospital morgue for an autopsy at about 11:30 pm.
