Rajshahi: A mobile court of Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institutions (BSTI) fined the owners of three food factories Tk 1.3 lakh in Rajshahi yesterday for manufacturing of substandard and adulterated food, reports BSS. According to the officials concerned, the BSTI in cooperation with the district administration conducted mobile court in different areas of the city. The court, led by Executive Magistrate Sadia Jerin, lodged separate cases against three owners of food factories on charges of manufacturing, possessing and selling of substandard and unhygienic food items together with violation of BSTI rules and regulations. The accused food factories are-- Ruchita Food Industries, Bhai Bhai Bakery and Taz Bakery. The court realised Tk 1.3 lakh from the factory owners as fine and disposed of the cases on the spot. It has also destroyed huge ingredients of bread and chanachur.
