20,000 yaba tablets seized

Police yesterday seized 20,000 contraband yaba tablets and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw from Badamtali area under Karnaphuli police station in the city. Patrol police of Karnaphuli station in a drive at around 8:30 am at Badamtali area found a CNG-run auto-rickshaw was laying on the road and passengers fled the scene leaving the four wheelers. “As we have found the CNG-run auto-rickshaw was lying on the road we searched on it and seized 20,000 contrband yaba tablets. We seized the yaba and the CNG-run auto-rickshaw. The number of the CNG-run auto-rickshaw is Chattro metro-Kha 11-3251,” said Tafiqul Islam, Sub-inspector of Karnaphuli police station.
