Barisal Division comfortably scripted their second victory when they thumped Rajshahi Division by eight wickets on the third day of the fifth round in the Tier-2 encounter of the Walton National Cricket League (NCL) at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium (SKS) in Rajshahi yesterday.  
At Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, the local side took a moderate 175-run lead against Sylhet Division.
In Tier-1, Dhaka Division were batting under follow-on against Rangpur Division at Shaheed Chandu Stadium, Bogra as they still have a deficit of 153 runs with nine wickets remaining.
Elsewhere, at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah, Dhaka Metro took a 154-run lead against Khulna Division.
 Rajshahi vs Barisal
In the wake of the combined pace and spin-bowling attack from Barisal Division, Rajshahi managed to set a scanty target of 68-run for the visiting side, which they comfortably chased down inside 7.2 overs with losing two wickets.
Left-arm spinners Sohag Gazi and Monir Hossain claimed two wickets each. Pacers Golam Kabir and Salman Hossain grabbed three and two wickets respectively for Barisal.
Resuming the third day at 126-3, Rajshahi Division added 133 runs at the cost of seven wickets. The home side lost their overnight batsmen Junaid Siddique and Mushfiqur Rahim alongside Shakhir Hossain in the space of 28 runs as soon as the start of the third day’s game. Siddique fell for 59. Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim went for 30.
 In reply, Barisal Division overhauled the paltry target of 68, just losing two wickets of skipper Fazle Mahmud and Sohag Gazi, who hit 23 from 10 balls with four fours as well as six.
After first innings total of paltry 119, Rajshahi Division mustered 259 for all-out in their second innings following Barisal Division’s first innings knock of 311.
Sylhet vs Chittagong
Chittagong Division put on 188 for six after wrapping up Sylhet Division’s first innings for 283.
The visitors resumed the Day-3 at 262-9 and added just 21 runs with their overnight total in reply to Chittagong’s first innings 270.
 Tasamul Haque top-scored for Chittagong with 77 off 187 that featured with five fours and one six. Nafees Iqbal made 37. Yasir Ali remained at stumps on 41. Dolar Mahmud was on 17 not out. Enamul Haque Jr took two wickets for Sylhet.
Rangpur vs Dhaka
Dhaka Division were bowled out for 276 in their first innings following Rangpur Division’s first innings of 463.
Dhaka Division resumed the third day at 78-2, adding 198 runs with Roqibul Hasan making topscore of 79.
Later, Dhaka started their second innings with 34-1, where Abdul Mazid was batting on 20 and Saif Hasan was on six not out.
Khulna vs Metro
Khulna Division added 163 runs, resuming the Day-3 with 204. Overnight batman Imrul Kayes scored 163 before being caught off Sharifullah by Asif Ahmed. He added 53 runs with his overnight 110. Kayes finally plundered 17 fours and seven sixes in his 275-ball knock. Nurul Hasan chipped in with 76.
Abu Hider was the most successful bowler, who snapped up four wickets for 79. Mahmudullah and Asif Ahmed took two wickets for Metro.
In reply, Dhaka closed the third day at 122-5 with Asif Ahmed scoring 10 and Sharifullah 10. Shamsur Rahman smashed 42 and Mehedi Maruf struck 44.
Mehedi Hasan Miraz bagged three and Abu Bakar grabbed two for Khulna.
