A court yesterday placed Rifat Farazi, an accused in the Rifat Sharif murder case, on a seven-day remand in a case filed under the Arms Act. Senior Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Sirajul Islam Gazi passed the order when police produced him before the court on completion of his seven-day remand in the murder case. Earlier on Monday, Md Humayun Kabir, inspector of Sadar Police Station and the investigation officer of the case, sought seven days to interrogate Farazi in the firearms case.
