Anti- Corruption Commission (ACC ) yesterday conducted two separate drives at Bangaladesh Road Transport Authority offices in Dhaka's Keraniganj and Madaripur respectively. The ACC team conducted a drive in Madaripur BRTA on charges of irregularities in driving licenses, car licenses, ownership changes and fitness certificates. ACC team received the complaints through Hotline- 106 that the outsourcing employees in the BRTA harass the service seekers in various ways.
The operation was conducted by the coordinated district office, Faridpur. The accused employees fled being informed of the presence of the ACC team. The ACC team then advised the Assistant Director of the district office to get on top of the recruitment process for the migrants.
The team also advised the service seekers to report the allegations of irregularities through the ACC hotline if they face any harassment.
On the other hand, the ACC also conducted another operation in Keraniganj BRTA office.
