Ninth grader stabbed dead

Some unidentified miscreants stabbed a ninth grader to death in Tongi BSCIC industrial area here early yesterday. The deceased was identified as Shuvo Ahmed, 15, son of Md Raju Miah of Fakir Market area. Quoting parents of the deceased, Tongi East Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kamal Hossain said Shuvo took some money from his father for having a haircut and went out at 9pm on Sunday.

Police recovered Shuvo's body with several wounds on head and other parts of the body and sent it to Gazipur Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

A mobile phone set was recovered from the  spot. When Shuvo's mother called her son's mobile at 2 am police received the call and informed her about the death, the Officer-in-Charge  added.
