Humans are most populous large mammals on the earth today. Total number of human currently living estimated to have reached 7.7 billions as April 2019. World populations look set to reach 9.7 billions by 2050. The current population of Bangladesh is 168,066,595 as of July 3, 2019, based on the latest United Nations estimates.

Over population in many countries is the major cause of most world problems whether it is question of food, shelter, pure drinking water, energy shortage, health, CO2 pollution etc. It must kept in mind that answers to many of the health problems in the developing countries do not lie in technical conditions to specific problems or in more medical staffs to cope with some particular aspect of morbidity with of course expectations, it comes down more and more to general education of the population.

In the field of family planning it is more evident that the real key to effective progress is sufficient education for women to perceive for themselves that it makes more sense to limit family size to the number of children that can be properly brought up.

Will world population stop growing over present century? Can the govt. support this many people indefinitely? What will happen if we do nothing to manage further population growth and total resource use? These complex questions are ecological, political, ethical, and urgent. The world peoples have been making sincere and integrated efforts to stabilize population for a sustainable development. We wish every success to cherish their goal.
