Group CFO of StanChart visits Bangladesh

Andy Halford, group chief financial officer of Standard Chartered Bank, was recently in Dhaka for his second official visit to Bangladesh, a press statement said.

During his three-day visit to Dhaka, Andy met with policymakers, regulators, key stakeholders and clients of the Bank.  

“It is very exciting to see the progress made by Bangladesh in the few years since my last visit. The growth potential of Bangladesh, as our own research has shown recently, is immense”, said Andy Halford.

Andy was appointed Group chief financial officer of Standard Chartered PLC in July 2014 and chief financial officer of Standard Chartered Bank in April 2019.

As Group chief financial officer at standard chartered, Halford is responsible for the finance, treasury, corporate development, strategy, investor relations, property and supply chain management functions, the statement added.
