2 GRP police withdrawn

Two members of Government Railway Police (GRP) in Sirajganj were withdrawn and sent to Syedpur railway police lines yesterday. Siddique Tanzilur Rahman, superintendent of railway police, said SI Mozibur Rahman and Constable Abul Kalam assaulted Anisur Rahman, assistant driver of Rajshahi mail train, and its guard Anowar Hossain on Saturday night following an altercation over taking a dead body on board of the train. Centering the issue, train drivers and guards had stopped operating the train on Sirajganj and Ishwardi route since 8.00pm. The train communication was restored again at 1.00am after Brenjon Chambugong, UNO of Sirajganj sadar upazila, assured the drivers to take action in this regard.
