Musharraf gets WB post

Senior Secretary of Land Ministry Mohammad Shafiul Alam was made Cabinet Secretary.
He replaced Muhammad Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan who has been appointed an Alternate Executive Director to the World Bank (WB) for three years from November 1 this year.
The Public Administration Ministry has issued a notification in this regard yesterday.
Mohammad Shafiul Alam, was born in Cox's Bazar in 1959. He did BA and LLB in 1979-80 and MA in English in 1981 from the University of Chittagong. He also obtained his MS degree in Development Administration from the Birmingham University, UK.
He is a member of Bangladesh Civil Service 1982 regular batch and served all the important positions in field administration. He was the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Magura and Mymensingh districts.  
He has a lot of publications which includes Probation, Magistracy and General Administration. He participated in many training programs at home and abroad.
