Muggers loot Tk 5 lakh

A group of armed muggers stabbed a sales worker of mobile banking 'bkash’ and looted Tk 5 lakh in Khayrabad area on Barisal-Patuakhali Highway yesterday The victim was Gazi Sohan, a sales worker of local bKash distributor named ‘Sad-Said Enterprise’.  Local sources and the victim Sohan said the incident took place when he was crossing the area for Bakergang upazila with Tk 5 lakh and five muggers intercepted his way and stabbed him. They looted the money and left the spot immediately. Injured Sohan was rushed to Barisal Sher- E-Bangla Medical College Hospital. Ekramul Huda, managing director of local bKash distributor ‘Sad-Said Enterprise’, said his 20 sales workers left the office with cash Tk 70 lakh to distribute those among the village level bKash agents.
