An eleven-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a scarf from ceiling at East Rasulpur in Kamrangirchar area of the capital yesterday. The deceased was Md Sabbir, 11, son of Jahangir, a shoemaker. Deceased’s mother Razia Begum, a RMG worker hailing form Kishoreganj, was living with her two sons and one daughter at a tin-shed house in the area. Sabbir locked into an altercation with his younger brother over a trifling matter. His father Jahangir scolded him and threatened to complain to his mother after her returning home from workplace. “There was no one at the room. We both went to work but after a while we heard the sad news around 11am. We rushed the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared Sabbir dead,” said Jahangir.
