State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Munnujan Sufian left Dhaka on Saturday night for Geneva to attend the Centenary International Labour Conference. It is the 108th Session of the International Labour Conference, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), a press release said here yesterday. The state minister will address the plenary session of the conference on “Future of work” topic today.
Lawmakers Israfil Alam and Manu Majumder, Labour and Employment Acting Secretary KM Ali Azam, Additional Secretary Dr Mollah Jalal and other concerned high officials of the ministry will participate the conference. Besides, president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Rubana Huq, The conference will be concluded on June 22.
