Airin in another Kolkata-based film

Just after wrapping up her latest Kolkata-based film ‘Shivartri’ last month, Bangladeshi model-actress Airin Sultana is going to work in yet another new film titled ‘Countdown’ in the same industry. The actress has revealed that it would be an off-track film, which will be directed by Partha Sarathi Chatterjee.

The shooting of the film was supposed to start after India’s general election and Eid-ul-Ftir. But the ‘Countdown’ director wants to take a few more days before the camera starts rolling, Airin informed.

In her new film, the actress will be seen playing as Mouli, a journalist who publishes reports on the female who faces violence in the society.

Airin said about her role, “I really liked my character, Mouli. I have a lot of respect for the profession of journalism. As a result, I have a fascination for a character of its kind. So, I am eagerly waiting to portray the character. I believe it would be a fantastic work.”

Interestingly, no one will be cast as hero opposite Airin in the film as the story will be everything, the ultimate hero, the actress told.

Airin-starrer ‘Shivartri’ has been directed by Raja Deepto Bandyopadhyay, where Sumon Chatterjee and Raja Deepto acted opposite the actress.

On the other hand, Airin is very happy with her current position in the showbiz. “I am very satisfied with my current position. Besides working in the films, I am also working in the web series with good stories”, she said.

Meanwhile, Airin has completed Ananna Mamun’s web series ‘Dhooka’. ABM Sumon has acted opposite her in this project.

The actress was seen in her last film ‘Mayabini’ directed by Akash Acharya. Saimon Sadik appeared opposite her film this film.
