When was the last time you played Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) over FIFA? Probably about a decade ago or maybe you have never even heard of it. PES was the king of football video games until PES 8 messed up a little and that is when FIFA took the crown. FIFA has been dominating the market for a long time now while PES made slight improvements every year. But this year PES just jumped right back in the game with PES 2016. PES 2016 is very impressive, and this time it is not because of the visuals alone but a whole lot more. The new PES offers a brilliant sense of ball control, fluid movement and reactions that make every moment exciting and enjoyable. The gameplay feels as good as ever thanks to the new physics engine. The visuals are once again pleasing; player expressions seem more realistic than before, they are much more detailed as well. The smooth fast paced gameplay feels very satisfying; scoring goals has never been this fun! The interface is quite good this time and Konami picked a decent playlist to go with it. Konami has done an outstanding job with the AI (artificial intelligence) excelling at being unpredictable most of the times. Though the gameplay is highly exciting, the commentary sometimes kills the mood with bland repetitive lines. PES 16 has more licenses than before but none the less it needs a whole lot more to be everyones favorite. It is the best football game Konami has ever created and is surely a worthy opponent for FIFA 16 this year. PES 16 runs at super smooth 60 fps on Xbox One and PS4. It is definitely an incredible game and finally stands on the same ground as FIFA 16 after a long time.
