Police recovered four bodies in separate incidents in the capital’s different areas. The bodies were recovered from Lalbagh, Kamrangirchar, Kadamtali and Khilgaon area in the capital.
They victims were identified as, Robin, 22, a first year student of North South University Hosna Begum, 40, wife of an expatriate, Aminul Islam, 36, a rickshawpullar and Momtaz Begum, 25, a housewife.
Witnesses said the body of Robin was found hanging with ceiling fan. The neighbours rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) but the duty doctor declared him dead.
Shuvo, elder son of deceased Hosna Begum said they were living with his mother a second floor house in Deolahati crossing in Kamrangirchar.
“We were in our grand parent’s house. We returned at home at in the evening and saw the body of my mother hanging with ceiling fan tied with her scarf,” he said.
“We rushed her to the DMCH at around 8:30pm but the doctor declared him dead,” he also said.
Meanwhile, police also recovered two bodies from Jurain and Khilgaon area in the capital.
Police recovered the body of Aminul Islam, a rickshaw puller from Jurain. Baby Akter, wife of Aminul said that she found her husband unconscious on the floor while returned from shop at around 4pm yesterday.
Police also recovered the body of Momtaz Begum from Khilgaon area in the capital on Tuesday afternoon. The bodies were sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
