Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Under-17 team were 199 runs ahead of visiting Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) at the end of the Day-2 in the fourth and last 3-day match at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar yesterday.
The visitors garnered 158-6 in their 1st innings chase following the local side’s 1st innings total of 357 for 6 declared.
Resuming the second day at 273-6, the home side added 84 runs with no loss. Skipper Aminul Islam hit Souvik Paul for four to complete his century in the third delivery of 19th over following two dot balls of that over.
Islam added 37 runs with his overnight 92. He cracked 15 fours as many as one six in his 246-ball patient but unbeaten knock. Thereafter Mahmudul Hasan, Sahadat Ridoy also struck half centuries. Ridoy made 126 off 67 with the help of five fours and two sixes.
In reply, the tourists put on 158 with Sayan Biswas making 77. Before being unfortunate run out, Biswas clubbed eight fours and one six in his 210-ball 77. Skipper Sharnik Banerjee made the second highest 38.
