Youth killed by ‘uncle’

A young man was beaten to death allegedly by his paternal uncle over a family feud at Shiber Bazar Rayergaon in Sadar upazila on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Dulal Ahmed, 20, son of Abul Bashar of the village.

Wakil Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Jalalabad Police Station, said Sirajul Islam swooped on Dulal around 11am and beat him mercilessly with a stick, leaving him injured.

Later, he was taken to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead.
