Savar youth stabbed dead by ‘stepbrother’

A young man was stabbed to death allegedly by his stepbrother at Baherchar village here early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Nazrul Islam, 30, son of late Abdul Hamid of the village.

Sub-inspector of Savar Model Police Station Tariqul Islam said Masudul Alam, 50, stabbed his stepbrother Nazrul in the early hours, leaving him dead on the spot.

The body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

The police officer said the murder might have taken place over a land dispute.
