Police is yet to arrest the killers of a school kid at village Katakhali in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh.
Nayeem Akanda, 7, a class-I student at Katakhali Govt Primary School went missing on Saturday.
Quoting victim’s father Suruj Ali Akanda, a rickshaw van puller, police sources said Suruj took his breakfast with Nayeem at around 9am on Saturday and he went for Dhaka to join his job.
Family members searched the boy here and there, but could not trace him. The news of Nayeem’s missing was also announced over loud-speakers in the adjacent areas.
Later, local people saw a heap of newly dugout soil in a jungle near Nayeem’s house on Sunday afternoon and found his body buried there.
Moniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Trishal police station, said the boy might have been killed over family feud.
Arif Akanda, 18, a cousin of Nayeem, had a feud with Nayeem’s elder brother when they both worked at a factory in Gazipur some three months ago, said the OC.
