Orientation programme held at DIIT
The orientation programme for the newly admitted students of Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) was held at DIU auditorium in the capital yesterday, says a press release.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq was the chief guest. Advocate Mohammad Azmat Ullah Khan, advisor, Municipal Association of Bangladesh, was the special guest. The programme was chaired by Md Sabur Khan, chairman, DIIT Daffodil Group.
Mohammad Nuruzzaman, executive director of DIIT, Md Shah Newaz Mazumder and Deputy Director of DIIT, delivered welcome speech, among others and vote of thanks was given by Md Sharwar Hossain Mollah, deputy director of DIIT.
Md Sabur Khan, chairman of Daffodil Group, described different ways of becoming an entrepreneur. For becoming an entrepreneur he welcomed the students to take the opportunity of the Daffodil International Universitys Business Incubator and Venture capital fund.
GPA-5 holders given reception
The Admission Office and Public Relations Office of Eastern University (EU) organised a reception programme for the students, who got GPA 5 in HSC examinations-2015, says a press release.

The programme was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of Eastern University Abdur Rab while Shakir Amin Chowdhury, deputy managing director, Dhaka Bank Limited; Fariduddin Al Mahmud, deputy managing director, IFIC Bank Limited, were special guests. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, pro-vice chancellor of EU, delivered the welcome speech.
Seminar on preparing documentary held
A seminar on preparing a documentary was held at the Department of Communication and Media Studies (CMS) of University of Development Alternative (UODA) on Tuesday.
Md Farid Ahmed, associate producer of Jamuna Television, presented key note in the seminar, while poet Abdul Hai Shikder addressed the function as chief guest.
Dr Mofidul Alam Khan, coordinator of CMS department, presided over the
seminar held on UODA Dhanmondi campus in the capital. Mahadi Hasan, a student of the department, moderated the seminar.
UODA lecturer AKM Shahinul Haque and other teachers were present in the programme. Students of the department took part in the seminar in different sessions.
