A case was filed against six people including five policemen yesterday in connection with a case for killing a man who was picked up by police on October 9 from his home in Jessore, reports UNB. The case was filed against sub-inspector Tapon of Isali police camp, assistant sub-inspector Rasel, constable Ibrahim, assistant sub-inspector Masud of Khajura police camp and an associate of police. Shuli Begum, wife of Enamul Haque, filed the case with Jessore Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court. After taking cognizance of the case, Senior Judicial Magistrate Abu Ibrahim asked the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to submit the investigation report. Earlier, Enamul Haque was allegedly picked up by police from his house on October 9. He was found dead beside the rail line at Barobazar of Jhenaidah district next morning.
