A Rangamati court yesterday sent Renin Suye, a leader of Myanmar insurgent group Arakan Army to jail in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act in Rajasthali upazila, reports UNB.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sabrina Ali passed the order after police produced Renin Suye before her court on completion of his five-day remand.
The court also fixed November 2 for the case proceedings.
On October 14, the same court placed Renin Suye on the remand in the case.
Police and members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested the leader of the insurgent group from Islampur area in Rajasthali upazila on October 14.
