Mobile phone subscription up slightly

The number of mobile phone subscribers, based on the number of sold SIM cards, increased marginally to 131.436 million in September from 130.843 million in August, according to latest BTRC data.
The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) revealed the report as a part of conducting drive against pre-active and unregistered SIM.
The largest mobile operator of the country Grameenphone registered 55.511 million million subscribers in September 2015 .Robi Axiata limited logged in 28.373 million.
Banglalink’s subscribers registered 32.615 million and Airtel Bangladesh logged in 9.717 million subscribers. Teletalk   has 4.108 million and Citycell has 1.113 million till the last September.
