All export and import activities at the Bhomra Land Port came to a halt yesterday and will remain suspended for a week on the occasion of the Durga Puja, the Hindu religious festival.
Shahinur Islam, a C&F (clearing and forwarding) agent, said the import-export activities at the port will resume on October 26.
Partho Ghosh, assistant director of Bhomra land port, said the trading activities between Bangladesh and India will remain suspended on the occasion of Durga Puja.
However, the trade activities will resume on Monday.
Besides, the crossing of passport holders remained normal.
