Sohan, Bijoy plunder tons for Khulna

The batsmen finally seized the control of the National Cricket League (NCL) in different venues across the country, breaking the outright domination of the bowlers. As many as five batsmen from different teams got the century to mark on the day three.
After the century of Mehedi Hasan on day two, Anamul Haque Bijoy and Nurul Hasan Sohan struck centuries to keep Khulna Division in dominating position against Dhaka at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Chittagong’s Tasamul Haque got his consecutive second century but their match against Rajshahi is heading towards a draw at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.  Barsial’s Salman Hossain and Al-Amin smashed brilliant centuries to keep their side aloft over Sylhet at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.
Dhaka Metro’s Mehrab Hossain Junior is on course of his century also but his side still couldn’t get a position of dominance against defending champions Rangpur Division at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium
in Khulna.

Khulna vs Dhaka Division
As Mehedi Hasan gave the side a strong platform, Anamul Haque Bijoy and Nurul Hasan Sohan utilised it perfectly to help Khulna declare the second innings on huge 506 for seven in Tier-1 game. Bijoy made exact 100 but Sohan plundered the bowlers all corner of the park to smash 182 not out off 223, clobbering 19 fours and a six. Ziaur Rahman was the other to send the Dhaka bowlers in receiving end, making 113 ball-89 with nine fours and five sixes. Mohammad Masum took three while Mosharraf Hossain Rubel picked up two for Dhaka
Set  470 to win, Dhaka ended the third day 37 for two, still needing 433. Abdul Mazid was batting on 11.
Khulna who resumed the day 205 for four, was bowled out for just 117 runs in its first innings and conceded a 37 runs lead when Dhaka amassed 154.
Dhaka Metro vs Rangpur
Mehrab Hossain Junior hit 87 not out to steer the side at the end of the third day 179 for two, which enabled them to earn a 122 runs lead in Tier-1 game. He took the onus after the side lost opener Mehedi Maruf cheaply. With Shamsur Rahman he shared 94 runs second wicket partnership before the former was out on 37. Later he made undefeated 79 runs with skipper Mahmudullah Riyad who was batting on 48.
Resuming the 241 for six, Rangpur earned a 57 runs first innings lead after being wrapped up for 299 with Tanvir Haider scoring highest 78. Sharifullah scalped four for 49.

Barisal vs Sylhet
Breaking Sylhet’s domination, Barisal kept them in strong position at the end of the day three thanks to a brilliant centuries from Salman Hossain and Al-Amin in Tier-2 game.
Resuming the day 151 for three, Barisal finally declared the second innings 464 for seven, setting 448 runs winning target for Sylhet. They scored 54 for two at stumps, leaving the side a need of 394 runs more.
Starting the day with 72, Slaman stretched his innings to 146 before being dismissed. Al-Amin smashed a fluent 157, resuming the day on 2. Al-Amin clattered 16 fours and three sixes in his 197 balls knock while Salman sent the ball across the ropes 15 times in his 284 balls knock.
Barisal were bowled out for 155 in its first innings before conceding a 17 runs lead as Sylhet made 172.

Chittagong vs Rajshahi
Rajshahi ended the third day on  97 for two with opener Nazmul Hossain Shanton batting on 39. Nihadduzaman was with him on 1. They are still trailing by 45 runs in Tier-2 game.
Earlier, Tasamul Haque hit his second consecutive century and was unbeaten on 134 as Chittagong racked up 350 in its first innings. They resumed the day 238 for four and finally was able to take a 142 runs lead. If pitch remains the same, the match is going to end on a draw.
