Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club shared points with Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra after a one-all draw in the Bangladesh Premier League football in their first match of the second-leg yesterday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Both the teams shared the possessions almost evenly, when Jamal had better occasions of scoring goals but some lackluster performance inside the area from the forwards deprived Jamal to win the match.
Solomon King, the Gambian forward, put Sheikh Jamal into lead when his header went into the top corner of the net (1-0).
Muktijoddha kept the pressure to dominate the possession and leveled the margin on 35th minute from superb build up down the right and a long throw-in from Habibur Rahman Nolok was not fully cleared which came to Kato’s way, who did not take time to blast his right footer from top of the box (1-1).
In the day’s other match at the Rafiquddin Bhuyian Stadium in Mymensingh, Saif Sporting Club defeated Team BJMC by 3-0.
Otabek opened the scoring for Saif in the very fourth minute and Andres Cordoba doubled the advantaged on 34th minute when Anlexandro Celin made the tally 3-0 with a strike in late hour of the match.
