The International Museum Day 2019 will be observed in the country like in other places of the world, tomorrow. The theme of the day this year is ‘Museums as Cultural Hubs: The future of tradition’.
“The National Museum has chalked out daylong programmes on May 18 marking the day, which will start with a procession led by the cultural affairs state minister KM Khalid at 9:30am”, an official of the national museum, Shihab Shahriar told BSS.
He also informed BSS that, at 11am, Khalid will address as the chief guest of a discussion on the Bengali historian and archaeologist – ‘Nalini Kanta Bhattasali’, whose contributions have gone a long way in clarifying many obscurities in the history and culture of ancient and medieval Bengal.
