Man killed ‘by wife’ in Jashore

A man was hacked to death allegedly by his wife within 10 hours after his arrival at home from abroad yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Jamal Hossain, 34, son of Hobibur Rahman of Dhanaykhola village under Benapole Port Police Station.

According to the victim’s father, his son had been living in Malaysia for nearly 15 years. Around five years back he came home and went back after marrying Ayesha, daughter of Riazul Islam Tuku. Taking advantage of Jamal’s absence Ayesha got involved in extra-marital relations. Yesterday Ayesha killed him in cooperation with her parents after Jamal returned home on Tuesday, alleged Hobibur.

Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Benapole Port Police Station, said at the dead of night, locals heard screams from Jamal’s house and found him dead. Ayesha and her parents were present at the spot.Three people including victim’s wife were detained for investigation of the murder, he added.
