Kalsindur High School and College, famous for female footballers, was torched by unidentified criminals in Dhobaura upazila of Mymensingh yesterday. The arson attack has destroyed certificates, crests, medals, and other prizes earned by the female footballers of the school.
Dhobaura police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ali Ahmed Molla said "Unidentified criminals broke into the office room of Kalsindur High School and College and set it on fire early yesterday. He also confirmed that the fire destroyed the certificates, crests, medals, and other prizes earned by the female footballers.
Students found the lock of the school’s office room broken and saw smokes coming out of the office around 7:30am, the acting principal said.
Later, teachers of the educational institution rushed to the spot and doused the blaze, he said.
However, the school went into vacation from May 6.
