Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Sunday night arrested three alleged robbers from Uttara area in the capital. The arrested robbers were identified as Md Israfil, Md Babu and Md Mizanur Rahman. Talking to The Independent yesterday evening, Deputy Police Commissioner Shaikh Nazmul Alam said getting secret information, a team of DB( North) raided in Uttara area around 9:30pm Sunday. Later the DB team, supervised by Additional Deputy Police Commissioner Md Mahfuzul Islam and led by Assistant Commissioner Md Tariqul Islam, arrested the three members of robbers gang, he added. We also seized one revolver, six rounds of bullets, one private car and one knife from their possession, said DC Nazmul. During the primary interrogation, the arrested robbers admitted that they were involved in robberies in different areas in the capital for long times. A case was filed and they were produced before the court seeking seven days remand, the top intelligence officer told the correspondent.
