A Rangpur court yesterday rejected the bail petition of Rashedun Nabi Biplab, an accused in Japanese national Hoshi Kunio murder case, and sent him to jail. Rangpur Senior Judicial Magistrate Safiul Alam issued the order after police produced Biplab before his court on completion of a 10-day remand. Biplab have been kept in police custody since he was shown arrested on October 5. nother accused in the case, Kunio’s business partner Humayun Kabir Hira, is currently on a 5-day police remand. Meanwhile, another court yesterday placed Hira on a 10-day fresh remand in connection with another murder case. Kunio was shot dead on Oct 3 at Alutari of Kaunia upazila. A case was filed the same day. The police had detained six people over the killing, but shown two people arrested, Hira and Biplab-- a member of the Rangpur city unit BNP.
