Grameenphone’s net profit declined by 22.53 per cent year-on-year to Tk 414.12 crore in the third quarter (July-September), according to the company’s financial statement posted on its website.
The largest telecom operator’s net profit during the same period of the last year was Tk 534.50 crore.
The company’s revenue was up by 3.35 per cent to Tk 2,647.42 crore in the third quarter.
Meanwhile, GP’s net asset value (NAV) per share fell by 3.93 per cent in last one year. The listed company’s NAV per share was Tk 19.55 on September 30 against Tk 20.35 in the same period a year ago, according to Dhaka Stock Exchange website.
Also, earnings per share of the company declined to Tk 3.07 in the third quarter from Tk 3.96 in the same period a year ago.
According to the financial statement of the company, during January to September 2015 GP’s earning per share was Tk 10.83 compared to Tk 11.79 during same period of last year.
