Japanese university delegation calls on acting UGC chairman

A three-member delegation from University of Hyogo, Japan called on Prof Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, acting chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, at the latter’s office yesterday.
Makoto Kosaka, executive vice president, University of Hyogo, led the visiting delegation. During the meeting, various aspects of higher education, including scholarships, education exchange programme, came up in the discussion.
The Japanese university is providing world-class business course for undergraduate foreign students including Bangladesh. For this, they are willing to sign a MoU with Bangladeshi universities.
Prof Dil Afroza Begum, Prof Md Akhtar Hossain, Members, UGC; Dr Md Khaled, Secretary, Jesmin Pervin, Additional Director of International Co-operation and Collaboration and Md Shahin Siraj, Deputy Secretary, UGC, among others, were present in the meeting.
