Selima Ahmad receives TIAW award

The International Alliance for Women (TIAW) has announced Selima Ahmad, vice chairperson of Nitol Niloy Group and president of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI), as the recipient of the TIAW World of Difference Lifetime Achievement Award-2014-2015, reports UNB.
The prestigious award is given each year to a woman of great achievement, whose actions have truly made a difference globally in the economic empowerment of women, said a press release of BWCCI.
Selima Ahmad has been working for the private sector development for the last 28 years and actively involved in developing more than 7,000 women entrepreneurs.
Her company Nitol-Niloy Group is one of the reputable leading business houses in Bangladesh having 26 companies amongst which six are joint venture and three public companies which includes automobiles, cement, paper, real estate, electronics and financial services.
