Chennaiyin FC rout Abahani

Abahani Limited suffered a solitary goal defeat in the AFC Cup match when they conceded a suicidal goal at the fag end of the match against the home Chennaiyin FC yesterday. Abahani, who needed a win or at least a draw in the away ground against Chennaiyin FC to strongly remain in the race to cross the first stage of the AFC Cup, were unfortunate to concede the defeat just five minute before the last whistle.

It was first defeat for Abahani out of their three matches when they defeated Managmarsyangdi Club of Nepal by 1-0 in Kathmandu and drew 2-2 against Minarva Punjab, now Abahani have three matches left to play with taking on Chennaiyin FC at home ground on May 15.
