‘The Great British Food Festival’ underway at Le Méridien Dhaka

A 10-day food festival titled ‘The Great British Food Festival’, from the land of royalty–Britain, is underway in the capital. Le Méridien Dhaka has arranged the festival at their all-day dining restaurant, Latest Recipe on the 15th floor, said a press release.

‘The Great British Food Festival’ was inaugurated by Robert Chatterton Dickson, British High Commissioner on April 28. The festival menu has been crafted and prepared by Executive Chef, Austen Reid and he is preparing the recipes with exclusive British ingredients.

There are a series of delicious foods like Mini classic prawn cocktails, seared tuna bloody Mary’s celery salt, Cullen skink soup with chive Chantilly and spring onion and parsley oil, deep fried fish and chips with tartare sauce and fresh lemon, Scotch quail eggs with parsley remoulade, Cranachan, sticky toffee pudding, Bakewell tart, and chocolate bread and butter pudding. There is a roast corner where the Chef will serve roasted leg of lamb, beef rib, carrot and potato fondants, horseradish and mustards.

For this festival, the Latest Recipe restaurant has been decorated with British theme like London Bridge, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, and flags of the four nations which is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Various British music are playing throughout the whole festival like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Oasis, The Proclaimers, Elton John, The Kinks, Van Morrison, Ed Sheeran, and Kiesza.

The dinner buffet for British Food Festival will cost BDT 3,900++ per person. Buy One Get One offers with different banks is available during this festival.
