Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, Thai ambassador in Bangladesh, paid her first visit to International Center for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) on Tuesday to learn about its five decades of research, innovation, and humanitarian efforts.
Ambassador Phothong, accompanied by Sccond Secretary of the Royal Thai Embassy Kalthira Koompirochana, expressed her interest in exploring new partnership opportunities with icddr,b.
Executive Director and the winner of Prince Mahidol Award (Public Health), Professor John D Clemens welcomed her and accompanied her in the capital, says a press release. The ambassador visited icddr,b hospital in the capital's Mohakhali area. Later, she toured the mucosal immunology and vaccinology laboratory, clinical laboratory and was introduced to senior scientists at icddr,b.
