DU students beat up driver

A  driver of the cement mixer truck was beaten up allegedly by a group students of the Dhaka University yesterday on the campus yesterday as a rickshaw has been hit by the vehicle. The accident occurred at 2 pm. During the incident, students detained the vehicle and vandalized it.

Witnesses said that the cement mixer truck was going to Shahbagh by Tsc-Bangla Academy road. Then, the truck hit a rickshaw in front of the TSC Later students beat the driver and vandalized the truck's glass. Later, the truck was dragged to the Shahbagh Police Station with a wrecker.

About the incident, Nilkhet police outpost SI Sahab Ali said, "The driver went to Dhaka Medical Hospital for treatment.
