A woman, who was injured in an attack allegedly by her brother-in-law in Shahrasti upazila on April 19, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the capital on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Kohinoor Begum, 35, wife of Ariful Islam of Bhatnikhola Beparibari in the upazila.
Mohammad Shah Alam, officer-in-charge of Shahrasti Police Station, said Zahirul Islam, 40, and his cousin Ariful had long been at loggerheads over family affairs as Zahir’s wife recently married Arif’s brother getting divorced from him.
